Frequently asked questions

Does resizing keep the aspect ratio?

Yes. Images are always scaled proportionally, so they are never stretched. When you set both a width and a height, the image is scaled to fit inside that box.

What size should I use?

Common choices are 1920 px wide for full-screen web images, 1080 px for Instagram, 1200 × 630 px for social media link previews and 800 px for email.

Can I make an image bigger?

Yes, but enlarging a raster image cannot add new detail, so it may look softer. SVG files are the exception: they stay perfectly sharp at any size.

Are my images uploaded to a server?

No. All conversion happens inside your browser on your own device. Your photos are never uploaded, stored or seen by anyone, which also makes conversion faster and lets it work on any connection.

Is it really free? Are there limits?

Yes, it is completely free with no sign-up and no watermark. Because nothing is uploaded, there are no file size or file count limits. Very large batches are only limited by your device's memory.

Can I convert many images at once?

Yes. Select or drop as many images as you like. They are converted in parallel, and you can download them one by one or all together as a ZIP file.

Is the photo metadata (EXIF) kept?

No. Converted images do not contain the original metadata such as GPS location, camera model or date. This protects your privacy when sharing photos. The orientation is applied, so photos stay the right way up.
