What is HEIC?
HEIC is the default photo format on iPhone and iPad. It stores high-quality photos in about half the size of JPG, but Windows, Android, many websites and most online forms do not support it.
What is PNG?
PNG is a lossless image format that preserves every pixel exactly and supports full transparency. It is ideal for logos, screenshots, graphics and text, but photos saved as PNG are usually much larger than JPG.

Frequently asked questions
Why is the PNG so much bigger than my HEIC?
HEIC is heavily compressed while PNG is lossless, so the same photo can be 5–10× larger as PNG. If you need a smaller file, convert HEIC to JPG instead.
Will I lose quality converting HEIC to PNG?
No. PNG is lossless, so every pixel of the decoded HEIC image is preserved exactly.
Are my images uploaded to a server?
No. All conversion happens inside your browser on your own device. Your photos are never uploaded, stored or seen by anyone, which also makes conversion faster and lets it work on any connection.
Is it really free? Are there limits?
Yes, it is completely free with no sign-up and no watermark. Because nothing is uploaded, there are no file size or file count limits. Very large batches are only limited by your device's memory.
Can I convert many images at once?
Yes. Select or drop as many images as you like. They are converted in parallel, and you can download them one by one or all together as a ZIP file.
Is the photo metadata (EXIF) kept?
No. Converted images do not contain the original metadata such as GPS location, camera model or date. This protects your privacy when sharing photos. The orientation is applied, so photos stay the right way up.
