About ImgFormatter

ImgFormatter is a free image converter, compressor and resizer. Unlike most online converters, it does not upload your files to a server: every image is decoded and re-encoded by your own browser, on your own device.

Privacy

• Your images never leave your device. They are not uploaded, stored or logged.
• No account and no personal data are required.
• Metadata is removed from converted images, including GPS location and camera details.

Open-source software

ImgFormatter is built with these open-source libraries:

• heic-to, based onlibheif, used to decode HEIC images. Licensed under the GNU LGPL v3. It is loaded unmodified as a separate file only when you convert a HEIC image.
• fflate (MIT), used to create ZIP downloads.
• Astro (MIT), used to build the website.
